07:30 am : departure from Sofia city centre - behind St. Alexander
Nevski cathedral.
09:15 am : arrival at the base station of the Rila Lakes chair lift
After arriving at the parking of the chair lift you have free time to explore the area on your own. You can take the chair lift and walk around the mountain lakes or take one of the hiking routes up the mountain.
16:30 pm : departure from the parking of the chair lift in direction to Sofia city
About 2 hours journey to Sofia.
18:30 pm : arrival in Sofia city
Drop off in Sofia city centre at St. Alexandar Nevski's Catherdral.

Before you go
The 7 Rila Lakes are located high in the Rila National Park.
Temperatures can drop to 5° even during summer, so please consider appropriate warm clothing, rain coat and comfortable walking shoes.
Sunglasses, sun hat and sun cream are also advised as the sun can be quite strong up in the mountain.
